A traveller who loves food and photography

It was my wife's 1st bday after our marriage so i wanted to take her out for a nice Italian dinner as she loves Italian Cuicine but to my surprise she said she always wanted to taste the famous Dal Bukhara so had to mend my plans at the last moment and luckily i got a reservation at the Bukhara Restaurant in ITC Maurya. On my way, my wife, told me about the amazing story behind the famous dal bukhara and how the restaurant got its name after the dal(lentil).

The moment i entered the Bukhara restaurant, i saw it was all full and i was even astonished to see everybody enjoying their food with their hands, let me mention it was 80% occupied by foreigners and that made me feel even more amazed to see them having food with hands. We ordered the famous dal bukhara and the naan for the main course and peshawari kebabs as starters. You could see your food getting prepared right in front of ur eyes as it has a transparent kitchen..the moment food was served the stewart politely requested us to use hands to eat rather than the cutlery so that we can enjoy the food even more.. we agreed and the moment i took the first bite of the kebabs it just melted in my mouth..the best tikka kebabs you could ever find in delhi..and 2nd best after the famous Tunday kebabs..

U could smell the desee ghee out of dal bukhara and its thick, unlike any other dal makhani you would find elsewhere..it was simply yummy and the best dal makkhani i ever had in my life..just to add i am not very much fond of dal makkhani but dal bukhara is an exception now..enjoy it with the butter naan with loads of butter dripping from it.. and if you are going in a grouo of 6 to 8 people then you should order naan bukhara and you would enjoy the look of it apart from the taste..
Approx cost for 2 people for dal bukhara along with naan and peshawari kebabs would be around 2500 but the food is worth it and do read the amazing story about dal bukhara before going there..this would let you enjoy it even more..

The cutlery could be served if you order it but please enjoy the food with your bare hands and dont break the trend.
