I , Namrata Sonejee, 44 yrs of age, love to travel to locations surrounded by mesmerizing Himalayas, and have been fortunate to visit some of them. Presently employed as a teacher in a School and enjoy my job.

We had been to Kashmir, 2 years back during the month of March. We had booked only train tickets and rest we presumed could be taken care when we reach Jammu. To our surprise , the whole of Jammu market refused to take us to Kashmir as there was a curfew and had been relaxed that day itself. We were thoroughly disappointed and perplexed about the situation about what would we do for the 10 day return ticked booked by us. Then we took an auto for local Jammu sightseeing and by our conversations he understood our situation and offered to help. He took us to a travel agent within the city and the agent arranged everything for us at a very nominal fee. The next day morning we were all packed and set for the tour of our lifetime. As soon as Quazigand passed, we realised why Kashmir is paradise on earth. It is the place on which lord has bestowed his best of treasures. The mesmerizing landscapes and snow clad mountains with streams flowing through them makes one realize what natural beauty is . Pure air, food cooked in mustard oil, delicious rajma chawal as roadside dhabas, momentos for our families and friends , kashmiri hand woven bags, carpets, blankets , salwar suits, etc etc plus the warmth of the local people who were really very cooperative and thanked us for visiting Kashmir as most of the people rely on tourists for their livelihood and it gets greatly affected when some serious situations occur as they are at present.
We visited Sonmarg, Gulmarg (also exprerienced snowfall when reached at 1st level by Gondola), Manansbal lake, Kshir bhavani temple, and beautiful Mughal gardens and Hazrat bal mosque and a shikara ride is a must at Dal lake . Temperature hovering around 7-8 deg at that time. While returning visited Patnitop and then Mata Vaishnodevi temple (were fortunate to book a helicopter ride 1 month in advance). The blessings of the goddess completed our journey and we returned safe and sound .
I can only conclude that before I die I will definitely visit Kashmir once again ....

Kashmir.... Please call me soon.
