I am a full time researcher with a sweet tooth and good appetite. I love trying out new cuisines and visiting museum & other archaeological interests.

Kaidi is a Tamil word which translates as prisoner. Yes. You have guessed it right. This is a jail-themed vegetarian restaurant where waiters attend you adorning jail warden and prisoner costumes. The most exciting part is that you will be prisoned inside a jail cell setup during the course of your meal. The ambiance of the restaurant is excellent and perfect for both lunch and dinner. The waiters are well mannered, jovial, and suggest excellent menu options. The restaurant breaks from tradition with its unique menu options. I particularly liked the cheese fondue among all that I ate and even re-ordered it to relish my taste buds again. The cheese fondues are served like a sizzler with bread cubes, diced vegetables and a neat & cheesy sauce. The soups were excellent and the Mexican tomato soup was unforgettable. The potatoes in Batara Hara melted in the mouth while the red Amritsari Paneer Tikka and the green Hariyali Paneer Tikka recreated a tasty national color along with the mayonnaise. Veg stir fried noodles and Thai fried rice were delectable dishes suggested by our waiter. The aromatic Burmani mushroom and sauted Aloo dopiaza emerged as my favorites. The slithery and creamy Kashmiri Kofta was simply fantastic and made me yearn for more. Missi roti and Chur chur naan, again the suggestions of the waiter, never failed to impress. Our sumptuous meal ended with a Pink Volcano and Gulab Jamun. I believe that this is a restaurant one needs to add to his/her quarterly bucket list of restaurants-to-visit.
