A food critic from Chennai

Now, I know why people used to rave about the Thattu Idlies from here. Melt-in-the-mouth kind of soft textured, piping hot, smeared lightly with required amount of Ghee, correct amount of Podi sprinkled over it. Priced at ₹40, this masterpiece, on it's own, might not need any accompaniment but the Sambhar that comes in a cute little dhonnai and 2 types of Chutney (White & Red) goes pretty well with it, too. I love a Dosai, when it doesn't have an overdose of Butter and the Kaara Dosai (₹70) here was just that. Sambhar Vada (₹30) was outstanding.
