10 Refreshing Drinks to Boost Energy this Summer!

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. Well, gone is this definition of summer with the good old days. Cut to reality! Today, summers brings in a lot more than a shining sun… to be precise, well a scorching sun would sound more accurate… and we do get a puff of breeze, but not fresh breeze, polluted air probably from cars smoke pipe smothering on our faces… Let’s not even speak about birds singing… Do we even hear them?

Frankly, I really doubt today any one looks forward to summers. Even the thought of summers terrorizes us up to a pseudo energy drain. Being hydrated is the only way to counteract this heat.

So here’s listing a few refreshing summer drinks to beat the blues.

Lemon Iced Green Tea:

Ingredients:

Green tea bag – 1 no

Water – 1 cup

Lemon juice – 2 Tbsp

Honey – 1 Tsp

Fresh Mint Leaves – for taste

Method:

Pour boiling water over tea bag in a Jar.

Steep for 5 to 7 minutes.

Remove the tea bag

Add lemon juice and honey.

Allow tea to cool before pouring into an ice-filled glass.

Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Serve immediately.

Can try with Orange too

Pineapple Lemonade:

Ingredients:

Pineapple juice – 1/2 cup

Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon

Water – 1/2 cup

Sugar – 2 Tbsp (Can replace with Sugar free or Honey)

Method:

Add lemon juice, pineapple juice and water in a glass.

Add sugar and mix well.

Place in the refrigerator until chilled.

Serve over ice.

Watermelon Mint Slush:

Ingredients:

Watermelon – 1 Bowl Seedless

Mint – 2 Sprigs

Honey – 1 Tbsp

Lemon Juice – 1/2 tsp

Method:

Blend Watermelon, Mint, Honey, Lemon juice and 1 cup ice until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Mini Mango Ice Pops

Ingredients:

Ripe Mango – 1 cup chopped

Milk -1/4 cup

Sugar/Honey – 1 Tbsp

Ice-Tray

Method:

Blend Mangoes,  Milk and Sugar/Honey until smooth.

Pour it into ice cube tray, cover it and freeze until firm, when half set, insert toothpicks and freeze until firm.

Freeze for an hour.

Grape Cooler

Ingredients:

Grapes – 1 cup

Fresh Mint Leaves – 1 Sprig

Water – 1/2 cup

Ice – 1/2 cup

Method:

Combine Grapes, Mint leaves and ice in a mixer and blend till smooth.

Strain the juice in a glass.

Can add lemon and honey for taste.

Serve immediately.

Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients:

Strawberry – 1 cup – Chopped

Lemon juice – 2 Tbsp

Sugar / Honey / Sugar Free – 1 Tbsp

Method:

Combine Strawberries, lemon juice and sugar and blend until smooth.

Allow it to chill

Pour over an ice-filled Glass

Drink immediately

Cucumber Juice

Ingredients:

Cucumber – 1 cup chopped

Lemon – 1 Tsp

Mint Leaves – For Garnish

Ice

Method:

Blend Cucumber and lemon.

Strain the pulp.

Garnish with mint leaves and add ice cubes in your glass.

Pomegranate Mocktail

Ingredients:

Pomegranate Juice – 1/2 cup

Apple Juice – 1/2 cup

Lemon – 1 tsp

Mint leaves – For garnish

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a glass over ice

Garnish with Mint Leaves

Water Melon Pina-Colada

Ingredients:

Water Melon – 1/2 cup

Pineapple – 1/2 cup

Coconut water – 1/2 cup

Crushed ice, as per need

Pineapple wedges, for garnish

Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Method:

Combine Water-Melon, Pineapple, Coconut Water, and crushed ice in a blender and blend until smooth and thick.

Serve in a glass and garnish with drink umbrella, pineapple wedge, and fresh mint leaf.

Sugarcane Punch

Ingredients:

Sugarcane – 1/2 Cup

Ginger – for taste

Mint – for taste

Lemon – 1/2 tsp

Jeera Powder – 1/2 tsp

Ice, for serving

Method:

Blend together Sugarcane juice, Lime juice, Ginger and Mint leaves.

Pour in a large ice filled glass.

Drink Immediately
